Hialeah roofing FAQ
Straight answers about roofs, insurance & cost.
Insurance credits, financing, permits, timelines, and what a fair price looks like in Hialeah.
Will a new roof lower my home insurance in Hialeah?
Usually yes. A new metal roof with a wind-mitigation inspection can qualify you for premium credits in Florida — sometimes hundreds of dollars a year. We prepare the wind-mitigation report as part of every re-roof so you can submit it to your insurer right away.
My insurance company won't renew because my roof is too old. Can you help?
This is the #1 reason Hialeah homeowners call us. Many 1950s–1970s houses still have old shingle roofs insurers no longer accept. We replace them with affordable metal or tile, document everything, and hand you the paperwork your insurer needs to keep your policy.
Do you offer financing for a new roof?
Yes. We work with financing options for every budget so you don't have to pay the whole roof up front. We explain the choices in plain English or Spanish at your free quote — no pressure.
How much does a metal roof cost in Hialeah?
It depends on the size, slope, and condition of your roof. We always give you a written, line-item quote so you know exactly what you're paying for. Metal costs more up front than shingle but lasts 2–3× longer and lowers insurance, so it's usually the better long-term value.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family Hialeah homes are done in a few days once permitted — not weeks. Larger or tile roofs take a little longer. We dry-in the roof at the end of every working day so weather is never a risk.
Do I really need a full replacement, or just a repair?
Sometimes a repair is all you need — and we'll tell you that honestly after the free inspection. We don't use scare tactics to sell a roof you don't need. If a repair makes sense, we repair.
What is a wind-mitigation inspection and why does it matter?
It's a Florida inspection that documents how well your roof resists hurricane wind — roof shape, deck attachment, roof-to-wall connections, and covering. A strong report can earn you significant insurance premium discounts. We prepare it as part of the job.
What is a 4-point inspection?
Insurers often require a 4-point inspection (roof, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) on older homes before they'll write or renew a policy. A failing roof is the most common reason these come back bad. A new roof clears the roof portion immediately.
Do you pull the permits?
Yes. We pull all required City of Hialeah / Miami-Dade permits and schedule the inspections. You don't deal with the building department — we do.
Is metal roofing noisy when it rains?
No — that's a myth from old barn roofs. A modern metal roof installed over solid decking and underlayment is no louder than any other roof. Many homeowners say they don't notice a difference.
Will a metal roof make my house hotter?
The opposite. Metal roofs reflect heat instead of absorbing it like dark shingles, which can lower your attic temperature and your summer electric bill. Light or reflective coatings help even more in the Hialeah heat.
Can you match my neighbor's tile roof?
Usually yes. We carry Spanish barrel and concrete tile profiles that match most Hialeah-area homes, and we can also do tile-look metal that reads as tile from the street with metal's durability.
Do you handle storm and hurricane damage claims?
Yes. After a storm we inspect, photograph the damage, write the scope to your insurer's format, and meet your adjuster on-site. We don't take a percentage of your claim — we do what we'd do for a cash job.
What roofs do you install on flat-roof homes?
Many Hialeah homes and small commercial buildings have flat or low-slope roofs. We install TPO and modified-bitumen systems with proper drainage so water doesn't pond and leak.
How do I know your quote is fair?
Every quote is written and line-itemed: materials by name, labor, permit, tear-off, and warranty. No verbal hand-shake numbers, no vague lump sums. You can compare it honestly against any other bid.
What warranty do I get?
You get the manufacturer's material warranty (decades, depending on the system) plus our workmanship warranty in writing. We hand over all the paperwork at the final walkthrough.
Do you work on mobile / manufactured homes?
Yes — we install metal roof-overs and replacements on manufactured and mobile homes common in parts of Hialeah, using systems rated for our wind zone.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry the appropriate Florida roofing credentials, general liability, and workers' compensation. Certificates are available on request and included with every written estimate.
Can you come out fast for a leak?
Yes. We answer the phone, triage active leaks immediately, and dispatch for emergencies. Call (786) 460-2101 — Se Habla Español.
